Get this, just as I was about to commit that work back to CVS, the Test Release manager came in.
You're working on 83741 (numbers picked at random, seemingly like he did) right? Wha? Erm, 42! Oh, yea, I mean WO 23498 (more random numbers). Erm, talk to me in English & I might have a clue what the crap you're talking about. The RM NPE issue. Ah yea, that one, what about it? It's an unsupported application, no need to do the work.
