True, but then you require different adaptors for every bike, whereas the better NWS stand doesn't require any different fittings for most bikes, and when it does a socket will usually do the trick.
Buy an NWS.

abba stands on ebay go for more than you can get them with our discount, I took into account i wasn't paying postage.
Twasn't a bargain, but it was still cheaper! (got the power handle too *wooo*) |

What's the power handle?
I've got the bit sticking out the front you stand on before you put the bit in the back to stop it going back down again. It wouldn't work at all w/o the handle I use, is your Power handle longer than mine? I'm only ickle and I have to stand on the handle & pull myself down using the R&G to lift my big heavy bike) |

Power handle is literally a handle of power!
It bolts onto the foot lever side in an upwards direction (its like a broom handle, but metal and powerful) and it enables you to lift massively heavy bikes with the extra leverage. *has anyone notice the NWS website has gone?* -probably because I bought one of their stands, ![]() Last edited by injury_ian; 23-05-07 at 02:31 PM. |

In response to the original question, I was originally using a small steel ring of unknown origin that perfectly fitted inside the right hand side swing arm hole. This I promptly lost, probably by riding off with it still in. I replaced it with a suitably sized hex nut. |
