Sorry to hear Northy, but better a couple of years of taking it easy than a couple of weeks, then an off and never getting back on.

Sounds like Boneitis to me :P

Good news on the treatable front - and you're not becoming a Fair Weather Biker, you're simple going for quality over quantity.

Sorry to hear about the condition Northwind, glad they can treat it though.

I'll say take it easy on the bike but hey I'm stating the obvious there .

Look after yourself hun and hopefully once I start getting around a bit more I'll see you all about somewhere

so what your saying is that you are no longer going to bring entertainment value to rideouts. the flip over the handlebar accident when me and tony were behind you will remain with me for ever. makes me smile everytime I think about it.

we will just have to have more pub meets I think.

hope your treatment works.

big hugs. can call you a big wummin now as I have medical research behind me. xxx

Have you considered just fitting stabilisers to your bike. I'm sure that you can get them quite cheap in Halfords. Also, I'm sure that B&Q is doing quite a good deal on great big rolls of bubble wrap....

Kitkat, you don't get off the hook that easily, I'll still be at rideouts... Just not all of 'em. Hopefully no more over-the-bars though, wouldn't likely get away with that these days. Still, if you need an excuse for more pub nights... drink-outs? then feel free to use this. I may use it as emotional blackmail to convince some folks to come drag racing at Crail, too

Thanks for the comments folks, really, it's not a huge deal but I thought I should let you know what's up. "Let this new disaster come; it makes but one more" as the man said. There's plenty of folks on here dealing with worse, go and be sympathetic at them instead
Nice of Jim to derail my fishing-for-sympathy thread I thought If you've got the online manual, go and fire me over the relevant pages or point me at a link for it, and I'll have a look...
