I don't think so.

23, 7yrs NCB, £140 TPF&T. I know I could've got it cheaper, but I like my insurance company, and they're worth my custom.

Baph, dont get you hopes up to hight mate. No way at all that you will get 65% in your 1st year. They dont tell you that premiums have gone up 30% this year etc etc.

If you see a 30% drop then you'll be lucky.

For the record, £88 for me this year. Looking around, and if i was to re-insure currentl;y, this would drop to £61. My insurance is cheaper than the road tax!!

Please be aware that the 'percentage' game that insurance companies play don't really add up...

100% of nothing, is nothing!

60% off a hell of a lot is still very expensive!

Definitely still phone around come next renewal. As stated, the standard auto renewal won't be anything like as friendly but will get chopped down the moment you query it.

Oh, and never take a bloody break from biking, as car & bike are seperate and you can't use one no-claims against the other you end up with seperate no-claims bonuses. These erode if you take a three year break from biking, as I found to my displeasure

7 years ncb at 23?! I'd like to hear to conversation with the insurance company then!

Lets say Gnome started riding at 16 on a 50cc scooter. Now being 23, held a licence for 7 years. Easily possible.

Even if they started at 17, the insurer may of been generous & given 2 years no-claims one year as a bonus/incentive to stay with them.

To have 7years NCB & be paying £140 for TPFT is frankly ridiculous though IMO!!
