A friend of mine calls stuff from Ikea "Semi disposable furniture"
 A lot of it has never been anywhere near Sweden, its made in Ilkeston (or it used to be anyway).

So it's not only in Portugal... IKEA themselves are pretty good, their on site exchange policy works well, but the associated delivery companies suck, and the moment the things are with the delivery companies, IKEA just wash their hands out of it. Not good at all.
