I've got a treadmill in my garage which I've just started using... 25 mins in total so far (5 mins warming up - 20 mins at varying running speeds - 5 mins cool down) followed by about 20 mins wandering 'round my front room after trying to avoid extreme aches the day or so after.

My head was a bright red tomato.

Even though it was hard work, it reminded me how much I used to enjoy running...

Hopefully I'll be able to resist the computer to spend at bit of time on it most evenings...

Those of you who actually go out... I salute you. I find it much easier atm to stop running and drop onto my couch to die.

I've got the 305.

I never used to wear a watch when just going out for a run, just glance at the clock on the way in and out.
The 305 is great though. Confirmed what I suspected, that my pace was really variable, and helped me to even it out. I also found it good for doing long runs without a pre planned route. You can just go out in general direction, take random routes , turn around when you've gone far enough, and still know exactly how far you've been.

Having said that, I only bought it because it was temporarily reduced in price on amazon.

Blimey, if I had room in my garage for a treadmill, it would get filled with another bike, pretty damned sharpish!

One day maybe... But I've also got a car to pay to run so a second bike would just gather dust and cost money... kinda like my current bike is...

Just had a look at those Garmin thingys, they look fun. I want one. Really should get some decent running shoes first though.

Ah, but is it a smart treadmill? And do you take off or not?
