Leaves, i was riding home in May that week where it rained very day....I put my foot coming to stop in traffic nearly fell off I looked down there was a leave on the road that was soaked becasue of the rain.

Nearly taken out by a leaf! Yup then do make you slip!

Now you are talking about micro-climates. Damn roadcraft book, at least I remembered some of it.

Just wait until January then with ice on the roads, I try not to filter then as it gets very slippery.

When I was living in Fort William, every year for about 2 or 3 weeks (depends on the wind....) the only way to Inverness was the bus, a good 80% of the 77 mile road there is treelined.

I tried it on the bike the first year for a pre winter servce, when i got home some 30 mins later it took a good 10 mins for the suction effect to release so i could get off the bloody bike.
