Maybe a fiver inc postage then take it to a dyno

Would also like to find a way to attatch some sort of throttle restrictor which can be activated by pressing a button, 70bhp - pulled by coppers - press button - 33bhp. how convenient
COuld do it by turning off the spark to one cylinder. But I think such a system would only really work with the FI models, if you had an upgraded ECU that is programmable...then you could have a switch like in GSXR1000's with diff modes

Full power and 33 bhp

Well next time melodys over here I will measure her restrictors accurately and see if the local bearing and bolt dealers can find me something to match.
If thy have them, they will be cheap and will start selling them off at a fiver posted.
A great big to FI international

BTW, in preparation for my removal in july, what is actualy involved in restriction? Is it just an addition of something? Or is something replaced with another object?

I need to know incase I have to send it back to where I got it restricted, or if I can save a whole load of money and let my dad do it

It would run like a bag of bricks on one pot, but would be legal, I also think the GSXR system would be a bad idea, something where the method of switching is well out of sight seems prudent.

Nope.

Not unless your insurance company require it, its certainly not in law about who fits what sort of restrictor, I did check with the coppers about this.

Airbox off, with engine stoppped, open the throttle, push the black sliders up and look down there with a torch.
You may be able to see 2 shiny washers, if you can, pull the carbs off and remove them.

If there are no washers then your bike is done with the sliders, you will need your full power sliders, its a case of pull the tops of the carbs off and swap the sliders over, making sure you put the jet needle and diaphragm back right.
