Hello

Awfully sensitive for a "Hardened Rider" aren't we?

Maybe the smiley meant "hello up there"?

I've gotten better, the doctor's upped my medication and I no longer carry a gun too which is good.

Welcome, sounds like a gearbox issue to me. But yours being a K6 should still be under warranty. Take it to a dealership & get them to look at it under the warranty.

Don't take any crap about it not being serviced yadda yadda. So long as it is serviced according to schedule, it doesn't matter who by, and the onus isn't on you to prove it has been serviced, its on them to prove it hasn't.

Good to see another biker that took a K6 & did silly miles on it! Now where's all those high milage K7s....

Welcome - There has been a history of some SVs having lost front sprokets because the nut has come loose - worth a check while your in there!
