By the way, I used two 480kg straps, very thin though for their supposed maximum load.

Gonna get myself a pair of straps soon, the beams im using will def hold the weight of the bike, just wandering what points to strap around on the bike... any tips?

Well after all of that kerfuffle I just jacked up the front tonight with a trolley jack! (With the bike on it's side stand.)

What a donut.

Sorry Harvey I must've missed this post. I used the top (triple?) clamp thingy or yoke? Not sure what it's called but the top bit where the iginition barrel is.

Read my previous thread though! Couldn't believe it was so simple. I put the steering lock on and done it from the left hand side. Any jack could be used.

If you've a jack it's really easy on the SV at least.

Put it on the side stand, put the jack as far forward on the engine as you can and lift the front that way.

Thats how you change a set of discs in about 5 minutes flat lol.

Bit late for me Chris but helpful nontheless. At least I know how I can remove the forks if I need to!
