Well I may be holding off the sv purchase for a few months. Just been offered a 400bandit which I may use to do my test on while I save for a k3 or later sv. But should have test booked soon and will let you all know.

Tried sitting on the other halfs sv1000, I have no hope of reaching the floor on that.. so am guessing I will need to lower my sv when I get it.

No worries.. I find it very useful to have the mot manual sat next to my desk.. means I can sound like I know what I am talking about ..

Like you, I too am vertically challenged (5'2") and may have to get mine lowered. So for now it will be sitting in the garage until such time I can ride it, can't wait!! Got to clean it today though before it goes in the garage lol
I just got my SV Saturday. It's actually my third one. I am 5'4" and had to have it lowered too. We still had the lowering kit and shortened kick stand from my previous bikes.

It took my husband maybe an hour to install both. I got the standard SV because of my height. The seating position works better for me. But part of that probably has to do withthe fact that I have had surgery on both wrists and have to be cautious about leaning on my wrists too much.

I got my helmet yesterday, so now I'm ready to go! YAY!!

Yes will probably get it lowered as not sure how I will handle it I can stand on the ball of my foot when sitting on it lol. It wasn't as high off the ground as I thought. Having had a couple of SVs before you obviously like them. How did you find the handling of them? Have you been out on your new one yet ?

I had the s model (I think ya'll call it the curvie) first, and it was a little harder for me as I leaned over pretty far and I have bad wrists due to wrist surgeries in both wrists. After that I got the nekkid version and LOVED it!

My hubby lowered both for me and that make a huge difference. He also adjusted the handlebars to bring them back just a bit, and adjusted the levers to fit me better.

It handled just fine after it was lowered.

I have only ridden the new one around the block so far. Hub keeps telling me he wants me to wait til his hayabusa gets here this week. If it's not raining, we'll go out this weekend.
