I find the whole idea of home brew slightly disturbing. As in billy no mates brewing/drinking on his tod. Hardly likely to get even mates coming round with the threat of, "Try this, it tastes just like........" yes it tastes just like rancid dog wee, but only he can taste Marsdens Pedigree and Fullers IPA.

I can buy lager for less than diesel However my car does more miles per gallon than me. With 10 pints in me I'm lucky to even get home!

Some of us are disturbed. Gone are the good old days where mates meet down the pub for a few pints every night for me. Families, money, bikes, travel home all get in the way. If I lived in a Northern village with a friendly community however it might be a different story.

Rancid dog wee?! I don't think so.

BTW it doesn't really smell. I keep mine in my bedroom and open the lid every now and again to relieve the pressure. Slight wiff comes out of the tub and that's it.

I used to do my own wine, bought from kits at morrisons, once you,d got your demi johns, locks, and bottles etc it was ok, only ever made one decent batch, still drunk all the rest though, be rude not too really, good luck with it.

Me and my mates used to brew our own, made for good "tasting" parties!!

I found that the cider Kits stunk more than the beer. The smell isn't that bad I used to brew it in the bedroom and I could live with it!

Going to get back to it once I talk the girlfriend round.
