Gentle throttle sense, letting the engine do the braking. Try & keep fairly high (7k+ RPM) in the corners, don't touch the brakes once leant over (use the throttle like the back brake - to tighten turns).

You may feel a little wriggle, but resist the urge to do anything about it and the bike will sort itself out.

Have fun.

I'll wait and see how I feel tomorrow! There's a lot that could go wrong!

Yup. You can only really do what you feel safe with. I've ridden in a lot of poor weather (I live in North Wales...). There's nothing wrong with getting the back end out a little.

Just think G2D, it could be worse, rode my bosses bike last week that was p*ssing oil out the oil filter, straight on to the back tyre - that gave a few wriggles too, but I'm still here to tell the tale! My boss thought he was going to squish me on a long sweeping left hander at about 45mph though.

Yuck.

It just seems wrong somehow to be doing KD, on touring tyres.... in the rain

I'm been partial to a slippy backside before.....

Lack of confidence is down to crashing and almost dying when there was wet grass all over the corner. It was pants.

Then almost getting hit by a following Kwak.
