I would say my 1990 CG125 is a clasic LOL not!!! a little shed , but does it commuting job well.

That is a classic pile of..... if you want a 250 try and get a good 250rs. It's a much lighter, better handling, more fun to ride bike

whilst I grant you 35 years producing the same engine is probably some kind of record, it's not one of the bike to jump out as benchmark, given the Z900* came out the same year having 82bhp and a standing quater of 12.3 sec top speed of 132mph.

although the Daytona orange was a nice colour

Benchmark, no, but a classic, and Silver Smoke was much more tasteful.

As for the same engine, it's like saying Honda have been producing the same engine for 30+ years, in-line fours since the CB750 in the late 70's. BMW have made flat twins since 1923, the R32 , but they are not the same thing at all. Same sort of shape, yes.
