TBH though isnt it the same for all the UK's forces, arnt we all lagging behind massivly due to not enough money? I mean for a long while we had to use a rifle that didnt even work right... How much worse could it get!? ammunition that doesnt work? Sigh. I agree the military has contributed to a lot of things tech wise but I dont think you could say this is due to the military (outside of weapons). |

![]() Too right, the SA80 is a excellent design on paper and a load of bollo**s in the real world. The redesign by H&K was a revelation but the basic flaws are still there. We will not touch the SA80, we need a weapon that works every time in all conditions which isn't afraid to get wet let alone submerged. |

We officially dumped the M16 in the early 90's, we were using it along with the M4 in the Gulf.
Main weapon is the C8, a Canadian version of the M4 carbine assault rifle manufactured specifically/exclusively built for us by Diemaco. For terrorist operations on UK soil we will use the G36 and MP5, just as light and compact as the C8 and offers the same qualities but not as ruggedly designed. Ideal for CQB and also helps us to blend in with SO19. The G3 is mainly used for places we shouldn't be, basically this is the second most readily available assault rifle on the market after the infamous AK47. It is also a high punch rifle, not so good for CQB. The SAS still use this weapon as there primary sniper rifle, we tend to use the L96A1 as we carry more gear and multiple weapons. |

I'd hate to break up gun talk as myself love to shoot and within the next week will be purchasing a new shotgun , but to get back on topic I'd like to introduce to you David Deutsch in a talk that will without a question keep you pondering about the fabric and reality of life within this universe.

Knowledge is a shameful thing to waste , i may have too much time on my hands but then you may have to little time on your hands , it isn't about everyday life (because every day life can be quite boring)...It is about the big picture , something few of us (as a human race) care to look at because it doesn't fit within our everyday lifestyles , to say the very least about this universe we live in is that it is what made it possible for us as evolving humans to come up with such notions like Combustion Engines which allow us to ride a motorcycle for example and never mind the technological ways to destruct ourselves as another civilization who will go extinct ....Knowledge is a powerful thing which can be used for the good of our planet but most likely it will be used to destroy it.....David said it correctly , we are mere Chemical scum . |

We wont destroy the planet... Using up fossil fuels cant do that! Where do you think the material from fossil fuel comes from? I can tell you, it all came from the surface. Then was given energy by the sun, grew into tree's sunk etc etc.
Ive noticed humans tend to think we are more important than we really are! I havnt managed to listen to those things yet mind as I am at work and dont have access so im not 100% sure what this is all about... |
