This

or this to start

and then a few little bits like Allen keys and pliers etc. Just build up bit by bit til you have a decent set of tools.

200 notes are a bit too steep for me. was hoping more around the £50-£60. will this just get me a selection of cheese knives and jamie oliver spice pot?

I've just subscribed to TWO purely for the draper tools that you get with it- I'll take out the ones I want to make up a tool kit for my curvy, instead of having a tank bag full of spanners, screw drivers, allen keys and loose sockets etc

3/8" socket set which you can buy from argos will do.

Pound set of allen keys, screwdrivers and a hammer and that will be your lot. Oh and a pot of copper grease and WD40 because suzuki bolts suck.

With those tools alone you should be able to do 90% of jobs but as you go on you'll find a 1/4" socket set and 1/2" socket set, allen sockets a lot more useful too.

But seeing as you can do brake caliper stuff, get the side panels off and remove levers if need be then you can do basic repairs with the basic tools.

Start with a basic kit and buy stuff as and when you need it, i'm now up to all 3 socket sets, magneto pullers and power tools.

This Britool set is an excellent quality comprehensive set which will enable you to do the vast majority of bike related stuff, and it will last you a lifetime.

Add a set of combination spanners covering maybe 8-19mm, something like this Teng set or the Britool set XB017.RJMSET8 here and you're ready to go.

Anything else get as and when you need it.
