Actually come to mention it I'd polish them if they were scored. Little surface cuts like that concentrate stress and increase chance of fatigue failure. Then again I have no idea how stressed they actually are and suspect they have a fairly high safety factor.

thanks for the concern, and i would replace it as well if i thought it was anything serious as safety is paramount to me. it was only a very very light buffing/polishing.
i know that the forces involved are huge when it comes the rear linkage and it was only for about 25miles. i will keep my eye on it to be on the safe side though. |
