I was told not to filter on my test and as a result didnt get to do any on the lessons either. making up for it now though, although there are some bits i'm still unsure of so still learning how to do it properly.

Suprisingly, they dont, we are so law abiding (I'm an ex English now Canadian). It is stange though because lane use is so bad here, people use the outside lane as the scenic route doing 30-40 km under the speed limit.

Unlucky. So long as they don't deliberately get in the way, because they'd find it even less polite when someone hoofs their mirror off.

I was told if I didn't filter on my test then it would be frowned on! Luckily for me no filtering situation came up.

This is very odd, am I the only one that got taught how to filter by their instructor??

Not that my filtering is very good mind!

I'm not keen on filtering and only do it if I have to. I'm pretty patient in sitting traffic. I'd prefer to not have the chance of being knocked off by the prat in the skoda. I choose when and where I want to filter.
But, saying that if i'm with a few bikes and we've got somewhere to be, then I will, I just choose not to get bullied into it....even though there are a few that will try to........like him sitting next to me but then some blokes are very impatient

Me too and my test centre is on a b1tch of a junction at the best of times. Luckilly my test was mid afternoon on a weekday so the roads were fairly quiet. Like you all say its soooooooooooo satisfying cruising past static cars

My old man taught me to filter, I'd pull up in a queue and he would roar past shouting 'wtf are you doing sitting there!' so I'd follow - (holding my breath!) now I love it and do it wherever I get the chance
