Not sure if you've picked this up, but the 'S' models are faired and non S are naked. Pointy S in supersonic silver is, as we all know but are reluctant to admit, superior. Especially K3 ones (meaning 2003 model year, K1=2001 etc). Get some good tyres and your confidence will improve dramatically. Welcome to the pleasure dome, by the way, enjoy that V-twin noise!

If you go for a curvy there is a lot less to go wrong (not as many electronic gizmos)
Plus they look a lot nicer if you are going Nekkidd

Hi there and welcome ! Whatever you choose I am sure you will be happy, seems like you have done your research and have an idea of what you are after.

I love Pointy's cause I have one but like the riding position on nekkids. !!! Why not go for a test ride see which one if for you.

Good luck with your purchase x

cheers custard... the money from the SALE of the DT will go toward [dare i say it] the faired pointy! my brother left an old moped in our front garden, on the 3rd night it was gone

thanks to every1 for replying, this is a damn good community. i think i'm going to go for the pointy - a clock is invaluable for the commute - and i'll be repeating a trip to wales in the summer so fairing too as for colour, it's gona come second to condition. black with gold bits n bobs would be pimpy though.

thanks Miss YC, i coloured it in all by myself! can you tell me actually.. whats an SV like to go on the back of? i've been on my own dt, brothers R6, mates R1100 and other mates versys if you can compare to any of those. thank yoooooooooou

i'm half way through my 2nd year of no claims, and i can't upgrade the policy its 125 only... i can cope with losing a 2nd year i think.
