well i can understand each of everyones points ,but to tell the truth im kinda swaying away from the idea of buying flatslides , if i understand what i am been advised to do is to fit sv 1000 throttle bodies that would near enough give me the same gains yes i would go for that ,then i presume i would have to re-jet the bike i am not a mechanic but i do listen to good advise and appreciate and experiance from others who are kind enough to share

What year SV? Look at zadars advice; the massive TB's from the SVthou don't give much advantage over boring out the stock ones.

If your bike is not already an injected model then there is no point, the conversion to EFI is a major pain in the rse.

The main restriction on an injected bike is the throttle bodies, even the std cv's can flow more as they are tapered, wheras the throttle bodies are parallel.

As for bogging, if theyre setup right you've got to be really brutal to make an sv bog, 4cyl bikes are more prone to it with fcr's fitted, but in 2 years racing mine it never did it.
considering that most flatsides that people will install are pumpers, as you said, have to be very very brutal with 1/5 insert to cause an issue

Then fitting EFI would be a major pain in the ars. Flatslides are pricey, some hot cams would probably be better bang for the buck. What other mods have you done to it?

Why not go for a 700cc bore kit and get far more bang for your buck across the board.

wavy discs are just about a tenner for every wave of your money on them that does f##k all.

700cc ... aye but go for cp pistons not wiseco... the wiseco weigh a tonne.

personally I would never do 700 kit, especially not if I don't have flats already
getting all the power it can be have without opening motor is my order.
motor internals are last on list.
