Used to have a starter button attached ( well secured anyway) with blue tac. Until an MOT tester spray canned it black..

You can also stick coins in it if you happen to be going via a toll road/bridge too.

or indeed if you have an alarm fob, so you don't accidently loose it. Stick the furry side of some velcro to the back of the fob, and glue the scratchy bit to the yoke, next to the ignition. It also seems to help, say if you have a bikelock key attached to the ring, rattling around on your yoke and scratching it
