Yeah I used the word powerful in the wrong context there, not doing well this eve Basically, it shocked me, but then again I don't drive or ride - not yet anyway - this sort of thing affects everyone differently.

You can't wrap people up in cotton wool no, but to any decent person that clip doesn't shout drive safe, it shouts pain and misery and probably won't get the reaction the people making it are trying to gain.

I don’t mean to split hairs but the above is a little offensive. You have just insinuated that no "decent person" would view this clip differently to you.

Yes the clip does shout pain and misery, and it´s caused by reckless driving. That is the point of the clip.

Yeah you're right, I'm really not doing well with the language tonight , I know what I mean and what I insinuated wasn't it! Very sorry if I caused offence.

e

haha, I know where you're coming from, I never seem to get my words right

I must admit I did see the message as drive carefully as even if you get away with it living with the consequences isn't so easy. Interesting how different people see it. It's definately morbid though!

I dunno, it's got nastiness pretty spot on. But it doesn't make any differentiation between being a knob, DWDC and the unavoidable. Bad message to send, really bad.

Right im trying my very best here, to not cause offence or to upset anyone, so iv chosen my words very carefully. Im not agreeing or disagree with anyone and I wasn’t even sure whether or not I should reply but here I am. Right heres my two pence worth, apologises for bad grammar.

right, its graphic. I dont think anyone here is trying to dispute that. But for me the video is trying to show the consequences of our actions.

okay to downplay it a bit, lets pretend theyre deer. (im not saying that deer are equal to people; oh didums, I am trying here.)

okay theyre deer, I hit a deer because im driving to fast and a bit silly; I get out and he jumps up and says ‘hey it happens, you just carry right on’, but in the real word that aint going to happen.

I think its meant to be blunt because if you really think about, if all those sill billy drivers out there to take a minute to see whats going on around them, and just for once realise that everyone else has their parents or family at home waiting for them; then they night be a bit cautious.

okay if it was plastered on national tv probably wont have everyone driving around like angels but it might, just might get people to think about how they are driving, and realise that okay so you get home 5 mins late to watch spongebob squarepants alternatively a sky + box helps combat this) but at least they got home.

apologises for my next blunt statement… isn’t it better that they tried to open our eyes, that they hope it might actually make some people think about their actions; because at the end of the day, its better then nothing.

again apologises if iv caused offence to anyone or upset them, and sorry for changing it from deer to people.

I seroiusly doubt it's just random, in fact I'd lay good money it's based on real accidents, I myself have attended a school kid hit by a van whilst on the phone crossing a road, also someone hit by a car that had been rear-ended by another, be thankful (if a little naive) you've not come across it in real life, but then I guess it's human nature to believe "if it's not happened to me it's not true"

Cheers Mark.
