I'm not too sure on the looks of the Gladys

But anything that is essentially an SV can't be that bad

Have they changed the motor at all apart from what appears to be a water-cooled oil cooler?

To be honest YC I'm not entirely sure.

IIRC it has slightly more torque and a bit more top end power.

I'll have a gander and get back to you.

A similar discussion happened with the owners of the Honda Pan-Euro whe the new shape came out.....its horrible, it doest ride well, goes into a cop-killing death-weave above 85mph etc etc.

......still prefer my SV though

I don't think it looks too bad. I wouldn't have one. The next bike has to be a step up, not sideways/down

I think it looks pretty good in that MCN road test video.

I know loads of people frequently badmouth MCN roadtests, and when you see a tester give a Ducati Monster "minus points" because the brake lever is only adjustable with a screwdriver that no one amongst the 4 riders plus support vehicle driver has or is able to acquire at any point over the several day test, it's hard to disagree.

Which is why I can't understand how MCN can rate it as first for anything. They test rode it at a manufacturers launch, which means sod all in real terms. I'll await sales figure and see how the great unwashed view it.

They also rode it in Kent against its 3 competitors on UK roads in cold real world conditions, perhaps this gave them some comparison?
