I've got a set I've just taken off my SV, raised the back end up by 5cm.
There home made. they were on the bike for the last 4 years. makes the bike quicker on turning in. you can have them if you like. I'm local as well and have an abba stand so can fit them for you in the Garage. oh yes, if you do change your Dog Bones ... please remember you need to adjust the chain and watch out for how much play is left in the rear brake hose.

Sorry guys, due to a slight mishap (see http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=129938) the poor old girl's sulking in the garage before I've had any chance to take pics.
I'll see if I can get a pic of her 'good side' for you when I get my sorry **** out there. |

Bloody hell, main thing is your ok Ryan, never even seen that thread, Look forward to seeing how much she's raised by, also does it effect the black plastic pieces much under the seat, do they look out of place now ?

Yeah I'm fine (soft but smelly landing!) just terminally damaged pride and withdrawal symptoms now.
Like I say I've not had much opportunity to play since fitting the new links but in the short time I have everything just seemed spot on. Nothing looked out of place to me but it felt so different cos I'd gone from a lowered bike to a stock/slightly higher. Cornering was much nicer, didn't feel such an effort to get lean angle (obviously on 'that' corner it was still too much effort!) and slow speed town work was nicer because I didn't have to untangle my legs before planting them and it felt like a more commanding position. It was like the feeling you get when you hire a van if you're not used to driving one! |
