Why buy a caravan 11 miles from home ? heres an idea, buy some deck chairs , drive 11 miles admire the view and then come home, there you go , just saved 20k, job done.

Well, if like me you don't have the best neighbours in the world, they seem to wake up at the weekends, then something like this would be perfect!

11 miles from me is the Cotswolds, I suppose it's all according where you live and what's on your doorstep.
I would consider it for quiet weekends, and if anything happened to the van in the week then I wouldn't have far to sort it out.

11 miles for me, wigan, liverpool, widnes , runcorn and st helens, beat that but seriously, not having a go, looked into a caravan in the scottish borders last year, just would prefer to get completely out my area for the weekend.

one prob you may have ,is that when the van gets to a certain age, they could be in their rights to ask you to remove it

Good idea I reckon M8, Brewood's got some good pubs!

Just be careful walking back along the cut, in the dark!

A friend of ours lived in a caravan on a site for years. Bit of an antisocial bugger at the best of times. Him and his Mrs finally decided that the neighbours on the site had got to be a pain in the ass, demolished both their vans and came back to civilisation...by buying a house. Its no different these days to bricks and mortar. The idylic life isn't so rosy anymore.

site fees are expensive too. I went down Devon over Easter, and the luxury vans they had down there were like little palaces. My parents would love to have one, and secretly I'd love to pack up and live in one by the sea, but my mate above has kind of put a stop on that idea!
