Should be really easy to get to from Stockport as it's motorway all the way. See route on Google Maps.

just about the only little bit i can see wrong stay on the 683 all the way to sedburgh then turn left you have it forking Left onto the b6256 not worth it ,, the start of the a684 from sedburgh has a few wicked bends that your route misses. but the rest of its correct

oops just spotted another little road i would change --- whislt the road from alston to stanhope is good the one from alston to middleton in teesdale is a lot lot nicer IMHO although its your rideout mate that is just an observation (right i will shut up now)
