That what I was trying to think of saying.....if that makes sense.

3 perfect bikes......for 3 completely different purposes.....

a) Touring
b) Mental Hooning
c) Track playing

Bloody hard work choosing between them three I think no matter what you do, you will always wish you had done one of the other.....and will probably end up doing all three instead LOL

IMHO one of the most over rated bikes in the history of biking,.

My brother had one. I rode it, I was left feeling distinctly unimpressed and failing to see what the fuss was all about.

In the spirit of recommending bikes you own

4 - 6K should get you a nice tidy K4 / K5 GSXR 750. If you can afford the insurance, it'll do everything your 675 did, but in a more comfortable relaxed way...

4 - 6K will also get you Ducati 749S, not sure its quite a good a long distance scratcher as the GSXR but again it'll do what your 675 did and you get that wow factor that maybe the GSXR doesnt give, but the 675 did..

Back to your thread, I'd definitely buy back and track the Daytona. You should get it for a good price, and puttting it onto the track is way cheaper than the road

Then I'd buy a Superduke

That's 96-2002 on the ZX7R. And they didn't change A SINGLE THING of any significance apart from the paint colours.

Because it was THAT good.

Not interested in an IL4 tbh mate, the insurance is identical, and no doubt they're superb and flexible bikes, but without wanting to cause offence buying a GSXR/CBR/ZR/R just feels like a resignation that you've lost the will to look for something more... interesting

maybe a ducati, but tbh i suspect it'll feel equally wasted on the road as the 675

the idea of another sportsbike is starting to seem like a worse idea the more i think about it, whereas the superduke idea is growing on me...

i'm liking this idea...

or...

buy a superduke for road and track, then use leftover moneys to get one of these to cart it around in:

None taken, I know what you mean, it does feel souless compared to the Ducati but I really like mine and I find it a huge amount of fun to ride.

Definately will be, but then so's my GSXR... I think TBH any sportsbike is.

Hard choice, I imagine a superduk on the island would be immence fun.....depends how much you really think you will use the 675 on the track I guess.

Man, if I was still in the UK, I'd buy the broken 675 off you/the insurance company
