I had thought that the format of the first post would have made it clear.

Mr BMW was driving like an idiot - choices for recourse are

a) report to the cops who do nothing

b) report to DVLA who I believe would have to do something.

So its not about him having a dodgy plate, as I admit I also have one, its about using that to get some payback.

Kind of like doing Capone for Tax Dodging rather than Racketeering.....

I take it that you have recorded the plate registration? Providing that you have that piece of information there are a couple of things that you can do.

Firstly, you need to track down an ex Stasi Hitman and explain your findings. For a nominal fee and supply of a suitable weapon, you can have the bad driver taken out and I don't mean for lunch!

If bad drivers were made aware of the fact that their poor behaviour could have serious consequences, maybe they would be more civilised.
We could introduce a new fixed penalty for parking on double yellow lines just before a set of road works on the sea front (that was a BMW too). For a crime like this your average hit man could break an arm or a leg.

For nearly running over a little Jayneflakes on her little CG125 while you attempt to undertake in your huge white van, a hit man could cut off your thumbs!

Or maybe you could just take a Buddhist view and let Karma catch them up by itself?
