PLEASE NOTE :
** The above applies to our Retail Machines Only, and not our PX to clear "Sold As Seen" deals which legislation decrees must be sold as 'unroadworthy', regardless of condition. Anyone any idea what that's about? I've never heard anything to say a PX vehicle cannot be sold as roadworthy!

Bit harsh Loz!
The guy said he didn't want it on his conscience to sell a bike with o/s finance - hence he returned it to original dealer. I would have held out for the original £1900 he paid the dealer in the first place mind ![]() |

Let me get this right. They sold a bike with outstanding finance...naughty, i'd contact trading standards about that...only...you agreed to sell them the bike back at a loss to yourself of £200. That may be a reflection of the depreciation since you obviously had the bike for a while an put some miles on the clock.
They, I assume, have had to clear the finance. This probably forms part of the £800 price hike. Of course the OP is right to warn any prospective buyer to check and make sure the finance has been cleared. I don't know any other dealership that tries to pass off PX machines as 'unroadworthy'. They do sound like a bunch of spivs. |

![]() Its annoying when dealer mark up the cars.bikes they buy off you, but sadly thats how they make business. I sold my XR2 once for £800 to a dealer. The following day it was up for £1400. Naff all i could do. |

lesson here -trust no one when your buying used-check any bike/ car for outstanding finance prior to buying, if you don't its your own fault if theres any comeback. for the sake of three quid this could have been avoided.

I think most of you are missing the point, all i was doing is pointing out what may be wrong with THE SALE of the bike. A warning to someone who may be interested in the bike. For all i know it could be legit, and they could have paid off the finance. I don't know, it's a warning, usually people are thankfull for warnings.
