why would a straight through pipe damage your valves?

Care to share your logic on this one? I can't see any.

M4 is too quiet. It needs stubbying.

You don't hear the true sound on You-Tube, the best sounding in my opinion are Remus exhaust as these produce a deep burble which is the true sound of V-twins.

Stubbies sound horrid, it is an uncontrollable racket.

It wouldn't, and mine hasn't.

Exactly.

I would disagree about stubbies all sounding naff though. The one I had was a very nice uncontrollable racket!

So why be one of the people continuing a theory with no idea of any logic behind it nor any real idea if it is true?

Running lean can cook exhaust valves, not just a straight through pipe. Effect and cause...

I would suspect that the turbine in a tailgunner type thing would produce enough back pressure that it won't make any difference at all. An SV can take a proper can on it without any difference to the mixture.

And the camchain one is just total b0llocks. The engine internals don't know nor care what you're doing with the killswitch.
