The bit after the pubs the best bit IMO , but there's actually a better road (when you take into account the lack of cops) that was also on lissa & binky's peaks rideout. IIRC you come off the cat through the thirty bit to the first trafficlighted junction & turn left go over a dual carriageway-ey road until it starts to get slightly country sidey and there's a left turn at some traffic lights.

Edit: just realised you've probably gone up it the different direction from me, so in your case the bit before the pub is best!

I prefer snake pass, but supose i know the road better, i feel it flows better, for me cat n fuddle is a bit stop start, but then again i'm not the most confident of riders
