When I was a brat, we had a huge big area that we used to take our MX bikes on, the local cops didn't mind and everyone was happy.

Now it's built over and the area is full of kids on pit bikes, some of these are pretty quick and it's a matter of time before one goes under a car.

I'd report them, but it's the lesser of 2 evils.

Unfortunately it appears that the current system means they'll have their bikes confiscated, and crushed.

Pity the local authorities can't take them in hand, work with them making sure they have the right safety eqpt, and a suitable area to do their off roading - happened for skateboarders.

Way of the world I guess

that be a good idea Bri - now where's my funding forms?

Why don’t they just turn the land into a track and charge a small amount per person ?? im pretty sure its owned by the council.
because Local authorities can't afford the insurance for running a track like this. Sounds stupid i know but all our locally owned tracks are ran by individual groups - easier to get funding, cheaper insurance and the staff that are willing to fund it. the hardest part is getting the group organised and willing for the adults to get involved and scro checked

Someone reported my nephew for riding his field bike on the field accross the road from his house.

Cops turn up and threaten to seize his bike, despite him saying he is allowed to ride there. Who gave you permission? My dad.

They laugh, So who is your dad. The bloke who owns the land you are trespassing on.

He thought he had them.

So after he finishes, he opens the gate to ride over to his house. Can we see your licence, tax, insurance etc. before you bring that onto the highway.

So now he rides the long way round so he doesn't need to cross the road. Which really pee's off the neighbour who complained about the noise of kids on their bikes.

as above its ahrd for local authroities to get the end product of the track and that is a big stuumbling block - but we have a great push on interventions like that at the moment so we may just be able to get the foundations started. we need tie in with neighbouring authroities and groups. and all at a time wihen we have £6mil savings to find.

thats won't stop me - there are a few police forces doing something will need to look back thro the paperwork.

Never say never me

Hi all, first post but thought I'd weigh in with something I saw on road wars.

There were 2 kids on a scooter teararsing around an estate and the cops couldn't chase because they were putting the kids in danger as they didn't have the correct safety gear..... It seems the police are unable to do anything unless they catch them when they stop . But that said I'd deffo report them as you might save someone some injury.

Oh and hi and I will be getting an SV very soon

Nah just put some fishing wire across their path that will soon stop them
No seriously report them if nothing happens just keep picking the phone up and mithering the cops the more complaints they have the more they have to make the effort of sorting it out

For anyone browsing this site looking for ways to stop bikers, the above is a very bad idea unless you really do want to kill/maim/decapitate someone.
