Why did he need to stop the traffic they could have just pulled on to the road?
We don't use bikes on fast roads for that reason. You can't be seen!

you'd hope the police biking standards of anywhere in the world would teach their officers that something like that is a real bad idea, and completely unnecessary.
He was to gain to very little by risking so much. |
