Default Re: SV on a trackday?

I did a trackday at Rockingham national using my SV which is my only bike and commuting tool. Z6 tyres (sports touring), no other mods. I had a great time, just remember to stay calm so you don't stack it. Bike handled fine, the only difference to the usual riding I did was more leaning really due to more confidence in the track grip and conditions so the pegs scraped a bit and chicken strips vanished. It should be no problem, just have a good time and aim to be smooth and calm.

Just go and do it...remove the mirrors, number plate, indies when you get there and tape up the speedo (as has been said). The SV is great on TD's but make sure you do warm the tyres up well (again, as has been said) and do get some crash bungs.

I came off on the last session on my 1st TD, but it didn't spoil the day one little bit...in fact, it just meant that I ticked EVERY box in one day as opposed to waiting for that elusive 1st track day off!
