I had an interview for a job around a month ago. I didn`t get that job but was asked to go back for a meeting with another manager about a new position which was to become available, as apparently I was a very close second choice. That was around a month ago too and i`m still waiting to hear if I have a job or not !!!!!
Really ****ing me off now as its not just a job its a new life for me

Similar thing happened with me a few months back. In the end I haven't heard anything back and the agency has since stopped representing them because of the way they are with candidates.

But hopefully yours will turn into better news.

I hope so too, and yeah agencies are generally useless.

interview went fine

just wait to hear back from them to see if i have a place

needing to decide weather the course is to full on for me as im quite laid back, she sead once im in a race team (required to complete the course) it will the 7 day week kind of job and 9 to 5 but more likely 9 to 8 sort of thing, not so sure im happy about throwing away my social life completely at this stage in life, so i need to think things over a bit more and see what else is out there along the same lines but maybe a bit more relaxed to start off with

Shouldn't be an issue if the course is too full on and your too laid back.

If you want something you make the effort, and choose your priorities wisely.
A social life is not the be all and end all in life.

A missed opportunity is always a source of regret later in life.

Erm, you don't sound very enthusiastic about the job?? To me that sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity! Don't throw it away!

its not a job is a apprenticeship led course, and the information i got when applying for the course was that its a race mechanics course 3 day week, and will lead on to a apprenticeship, and will delve in to most avenues of motor sport.

The course is actually, start the course get into a race team ASAP after getting on the course work for the race team for the rest of the week INC weekends, likley to be no pay at all, work very long hours.

basically it was not what i was expecting for the beginners course

and no im not that enthused by it at the moment :/ kinda sad because before hand i really wanted to do the course, but turns out its going to be a hell of a lot harder than i thought it would

will be thinking it over and will see what i decide to do

Well done !

I agree with dizzyblonde. Biggest regrets in life are missed opportunities, wish I could go back 10 years or even more ).

Sort out your life and a social life will follow.

Having said that, you need to make the decision on whats best for you.

On a similar note, I finally got a letter about the job I mentioned previously, and didn`t get it
Too gutted for words as I have nothing else in the pipeline, and need a job so I can get a life and move on with things. Fooked.
