important stuff

If the shooting pains turn into spasms that floor you. Stay on the floor it is easier for the paramedics to pick you up off the deck than a sofa/bed etc.

If you do end up in A&E, morphine is wonderful., you will walk (carefully ) out after a few hours, but prepared to have your butt hole invaded.

Other advice re backs. If you can keep it mobile, Tramadol is great but you need to see a GP for it.

My GP used to tell me to have a good shot of scotch with mine of an evening. The wife went ape at this advice, but as my GP and I both use the same boozers, he knew I understood his advice.

Major issue, pain killers can bung you up. Pushing with a back injury is painful and thus the bung up can get worse. So plenty of dubious curries from the places frequented by students at 3am.

rofl, oddly enough my GP gave me the exact same advice.
I've got IBS and a recurring back pain which seems connected to days when I've been suffering. She advised I should fine something which comes out more liquid than it goes in and every now and then spend some time on the throne just letting it take its course.
Obviously her words were slightly more poetic than that.

I'm with you sunshine - I was diclofenic, co drydamol x 2 20mg and tramadol with a decent shot of baileys.
Hot baths before hand, BUT if its inflammtion of anything, heat will aggravate it so you may need to ice it instead.

and never yet suffered being bunged up. sending you positive vibes - as they do help!

2 x co-codamol with 1, 2, or 3 anatryptiline are fantastic. Build up to the 3 slowly. You will sleep the clock round if you start on 3 - I know...
