Yep, although I wander what it would have been like when it was fitted with the F1 Cosworth DFV engine in Supervan 2 guise...

We used to hire out the Citroen Relays out & they are really economical & drive just like a car. Ours regularly saw 150,000 miles without much trouble & would return about 32 mpg.
I nearly bought one of our ex hire fleet for my race bike, but couldn't afford to race this year, so didn't bother.
They have now replaced them with LDV Maxus & they are cr@p, very agricultural & old fashioned (they must have been cheap lol)

in need a of van along the lines of a vivaro, traffic, SWB low top transit, transporter ect ect. Regularly cover 200+ mile journeys economically and reliably. obviously vans are abused to buggery so lower miles the better but what sort of life is expected out of a well maintained one?

I've run transits for 16 years. I still do.
Basically you are doing well if they get to over ten years old.
So the older the one you buy; the less years you will get before you have hassle and/or rust.

Structural bulkheads? I don't think they are ever structural.
Some have half bulkheads or mesh bulkheads arther than full steel one.
On a transit everything was optional so you get all sorts of bulkheads on them.

I've never had a transit that did better then about 26 -28 mpg.
I thin this goes for most vans that aren't car derived.....
