I use the PS3 for streaming 90% of the time and only 10% for games.

The streaming is excellent.

True, you do need to have some intellect to use a PC, but that is why the community is generally better.

I have used Xbox for live play, mostly MW2 but soon got fed up of all the tards and since then have played nothing but PC online.

I have a PC and a 360, I reckon that you should play games for the games, not the system they're on. However, some are better suited to certain types of games than others, I think. I mostly play simulators and strategy stuff on the PC, and everything else on the 360.

Dont disagree one little bit, and going back to the good old days, i loved getting together with the 3/4 other mates that also had good rigs, had having a good old fashoned LAN evening. command and conquer, call of duty (the original), day of defeat just to name a few. i remember we used to stay up till some ungodley hour of the morning drinking heavy, having a really good laugh, and then get up for college the next day!!!

a couple of us got together again about this time last year it was actually, was a great evening, got right into plaing Boarderlands, quality game for those that havn't played it. especially with mates in coop.

fair point, but although FPS like Call of Duty are so much better on pc with the mouse and keyboard controld (completly out does any hand held control ps3 or xbox) still when as someone has already said most part of modern games are online based, and for most people that means being able to play with friends, and most people dont have a pc that can handle the games these days, so once again you fall back onto the colsole.

PS3. Not really any reason other than I have always had Playstations.
However the advantages for me are the Blu-Ray capabilites, familiarity with the controller and free online play. I don't get on well with the Xbox controller but that neither here nor there.

Sometimes I consider getting an Xbox too but not really any point.

I'm not staunchly PS3 and not against the Xbox either, just familiarity with controller.

Always liked that playstation never changed or tried to spice up their controller to make it look snazzy or anything. Leave controller how it is and concentrate on making the console awesome.

If the latter was on PS3 I'd have no preference, but MS has the franchise and I've not had this much fun out of a game in years, the PS3 has GranTurismo if you're into your racing, the Xbox has Forza 3

FPS games are still better on a PC with a mouse and keyboard, but it only took me a few hours to get used to using a pair of waggly control sticks...

edit to add, get TVersity on your PC and you can stream pretty much anything to either console

Steam is starting to make PC gaming more viable, some of the numbers of players on there now are GREAT! If anyone is on steam then let me know... or resurrect my old thread here.

I can see your point about the controller, but the xbox controller is WAY more comfortable to hold, well for me anyway.

If your happy with the PS3 controller then fair enough

The PS3 controller needs proper triggers, trying to play any sort of car or shooting game on them and your fingers just slip off the L2 and R2 triggers unless you go out and buy the clip-on triggers for them.
