I was only joking, if it's not below 0 and the roads are dry I generally ride all year round.

I was out today, using bike for work.

And someone was determined to overtake me on double whites, I just gave them space cause I didn't want to keep checking where they were every second.

I am all up for the progression thing on a bike but safety does come into it aswell, is it really worth it??

Sounds promising - might be able to pick up a bargain if I head over to SMC, as they had their Duke test fleet down at Owler Bar. A couple of pre-loved rides, perhaps...

I did a nice 50ml circuit today down the Fosse and up Edge Hill, saw a few bikes, all behaving well. I reckon the fuel price is keeping the day-trippers off the road, very little traffic for a shiny Saturday.

The biggest threat from the natural selection candidates is that more restrictions/rules/costs will be dreamt up to reduce casualties.

I saw the Ducati truck parked up in The Moorlands pub on the way home, that was at 18:30 and there was no sign of them packing up! They had a great selection too and so many nice routes from there.

aye they're out with a vengeance. One dropped it at the top of Westgate Road doing a U turn.

He did get help to pick it up (it was a GSX1200) but me and the guy that did burst out laughing as we walked back.

I did 150 miles today and there were power rangers everywhere, but I have to hold my hands up and admit I did do the one knobbish overtake.

However the rest of the day was sweet and the only problem I have is that fuel really is ****ing expensive....
