Look at the contrast ratio though
it's alright , I'm sure it's been as low as £205 though (or that might have been the 450)

not sure about ration (suspecting typo?), ratio would be the scale of dark & brightness. Higher the better I guess.

Foehn & Hirsch are eBuyers own brand name (e.g. like 'Matsui' was to Dixons), they stick the badge on whatever they can get the cheapest which is almost inevitably Chinese built. You will see they sell cheap Chinese MP3 players under this badge as well.

I'm not saying they will be any worse than other cheap brands, but you aren't getting Swiss or German engineering as the name might suggest.
