Nope that's the muppet programming it, if you do routes on google maps correctly, it's only doing the route you told it to so can't blame TT.
IMO tom-toms are far more reliable in terms of programming, ease of use etc.

Well ok, I'll re-phrase. They can be ok....but they will never let you take the route you want to program in without spending about 2 hrs setting all the fecking waypoints/turnings etc.
Unless you use google maps....and magically get it work with that

Yeh, but that brings in another issue......reading! The so called "Yoof of today" cannot read good

Whilst I agree, I am not an outright fan of satnags, I despise people who drive by what their satnag tells them, not by what they see. I do think that they can be useful in getting to places you have never been before.

And they are safer IMO, rather than faff around trying to read instructions, the satnav can have a quick glance, it gives you a heads up what type of turn, junction or road to look for.

I use mine a lot for my work as well to get to jobs and it's massively quicker to find an address than me using an A2Z.
