The one I did was in Neath, south Wales, was expensive but it was a reinstated quarry and was worth it.

£35 for 1 hour but £50 for 1.5 hours which is what I'd do next time.

Fancy a drive down with some others?
Those prices are not so bad, I'd be well up for it, look at the price of doing an hour near me

it is interesting that I read this thread just after reading this in my local weekly rag

So some travel insurance companies consider riding a quad as a hazardous activity and will not cover for an accident. I bet it wasn't listed in the list of exclusions.

Quad biking... oh my!

I did a full day safari on a quad bike in Uganda last year.

We spent the day riding along the banks of the Nile and the surrounding villages and forests. We had a choice between a semi automatic or a fully automatic quad. I chose a semi auto, as I thought ' how hard can it be! I ride an SV650'

How wrong I was! Being a biker was not an advantage. I really struggled in the first hour or so. I just couldn't let go of my biking instincts and I found myself trying to lean into corners. I ended up swapping my semi auto for a fully automatic quad as I felt the controls of the semi were in the 'wrong' position and I just couldn't get to grips with it.

Once I finally got the hang of it, I loved it. By the time we were tackling the more challenging terrain, I was in my element and had a great time.

Mine for the day.

The boiler suit was necessary to protect my clothes from dust.

Worst thing I found, especially on the semi auto one I was on was there's no clutch, trouble is the left lever is a brake, so I slammed that a couple if times

I have one but not really into it anymore.
Back in the day I had an awesome Honda 3 wheeler.
My son had a Suzuki Quadracer LTZ450 that was a lot of fun as well, but recently sold it.
Just finshed sorting out the old Yamaha 250 the kids both learned to ride on.The wife and I plan to ride it in the snow. (although we are not having much snow this year) And may take it to the trails in a nearby National Forest with some mates when the weather gets warmer.
Done my share of playing in the mud. Don't feel the need to do that again.

Without a doubt some of the best green laning I've ever done. Can ride all day long without touching tarmac except to cross over it, and never have to ride the same route twice. Takes some getting used to the steering, having to think about ground clearance, and tip over angles, but the Yamaha Raptor 250 is an amazing machine, it can go anwhere.

Finally got a proper snow.
The Mrs fixed up some cake and drink up to take along and we headed off on a snowy night ride on the quadbike to see our mates who live a few miles down the road.
Great fun riding on the road when it snows, and spinning around in the local Church's car park. Not legal of course but that's the great thing about living in the countryside, no one cares.
Just mounted some halogen driving lights (for a car) to the front rack and they help tremendously!!!
Sorry , phone doesn't take good pics in the dark .

The Mrs.

and me.
