But most would want to sell me the tyres as well. Anyone got any tips for removing the front wheel without a paddock stand? I have a rear one but not a front one. Anyone near Ipswich I can borrow one off?

Both me and Hongman used him to fit supplied. Rubber .
How far are you from colchester ? I fitted my rear . But the front was a bit of a rush so did it in the week You need a paddock rear stand and a rod and 2 side stands a jack .

Maxxis supermax is what the TT boys are using so if they are happy on them at over 200mph on public roads I'd be happy with them at 80mph.
As for removing the front wheel. Put the bike on the rear paddock stand, get a standard trolley jack for a car, put a block of wood between the jack foot and the sump and jack up the front.

I did consider this but was worried about damaging the sump. I did this on my stepdad's Bandit, but the wood was on the frame. I have heard the Supermaxx don't last very long but grip well.

I've done it on my curvy about 10 times with no I'll effects.
I'm ordering some maxxis supermax soon as I've got 1.5mm on my rear tyre. A friend of mine is a complete hooligan and he loves them, I ride like a complete lady garden so even if they are crap they will go well with my SV crap suspension and I'll still not notice cause I'm rubbish

If you can't get somone local to mount the maxxis, you can get the wheels to colchester and use our tyre machine to fit them. It had no problems fittings my rear on my curvey rim.
Saturday after noon on the weekend I'm working . failing that bring the bike and get the hoop hear and were do it that way.

My tires are likely to be changed on Friday if my bonus comes through. I have a choice on my hands. On one side is Conti Motions, on the other are Pirelli Road Angel 2s. The question is do I pay the extra for a premium tyre or go with the the cheaper option? I have read good reviews on both, but the otherss have tread cuts through the middle band whereas the Conti's don't.
