There's sections round hear that are 40 but it's not valid as one house just before the T junction on the 3 miles stretch of road is just annoying.

I was stopped by a police biker a few years back along with a friend.
Along a favourite road if mine (nsl) we were just minding our own business when 2 miles from the start I spotted a police bike behind me...so pulled over. He took his helmet off and said "I had to do 80mph to catch up with you!"

So I took it to court!

And won!

If he only had to do 80mph then you weren't going all that fast. If you were far ahead of him, knew the road and weren't slowing much for the bends then you could have been doing 60mph.

I was nicked a few years back, downhill on a blind bend, scamera van at the bottom.

The road had 2 weeks earlier been downgraded from 40 to 30. My speed 35.

30 years of a clean licence ruined. no offers of a driver awareness 3 points and 60 quid. As far as I was concerned it wouldn't have been safe to brake whilst navigating that bend. But hey ho the scamera never lies.

Still I have got the blues for 80 in a 30 and been told to slow down and on my way, so I guess one sp30 in 37 years aint too bad.

If u sat a speed awareness course only 18 month ago im sure I heard / read somewhere u get the 3 points for that and more for this offence. So worst case it could be 6 points and a £60 fine?

Your bike can go that fast without any oil in it? That's impressive, last time you only got to 78mph before it went pop.

I was spoken to for doing "well over 100" years ago. I seem to remember my response was, "Do you realise this is a diesel Austin Maestro. It can't do 100mph"

Mind you forgot to mention the turbo on it.

I have heard that as well. If you get pulled again for speeding then the original points are reinstated along with the new ones.
