Ah booger, sorry to hear that Paul.

I hope you can get the bike back to it's former glory and maybe make it back up to Scotland for another ride-out. Hope the ribs heal quickly.

Hey Paul.

Just found out about this from a thread on Idle Banter. Glad to hear you are ok-ish. I was just about to PM you about a run tomorrow. I'm off tonight (just got back from the show). Let me know if I can do owt to help.

Sounds alot like a spill I had a while back on my GPZ. I didn't go for a ride afterwards though, was feeling too embarassed to even look at the bike.

i've made it to idle banter ..how did that happen

quick update, ribs hurt like a bi..ermmm hurty thing but i've not been taking pain killers(i figured i'd like to know if they got any worse),right shoulder is stiff that must be what i landed on,and my toes are hurting again must be how a landed, bikes not looking to bad, putting a screen back on makes a big difference, picked up a fairng from ebay for a tenner and the good people of sv650.org have come up with some other bits(much appreciated to everyone).

thinking back to the crash i'm lucky i highsided as the bike threw me forward, i'm pretty sure if it was a lowside then the wagon behind would of hit me...could of been messy

Sorry to hear about the spill, m8. I know it's a PITA but worth checking out those ribs. I reckon some physio at the time of an injury long ago might have saved me a whole lot of bother ever since. Glad to hear that you're OK tho' and that you won a gold for artistic impression!

went to the hospital this morning as i was having difficulty breathing during the night, didnt get x rayed as the doc said it would be pointless, if it was a major fracture then i wouldnt be standing, diagnosis was small/hairline fracture, bruised ribs, bruised lungs, nothing they can do heres some pain killers now **** off,or words to that effect

bikes looking better each time i look at it theres quite a few scuffs and the top fairing is completely smashed along with the exhaust, but as i said i dropped on a decent fairing for a tenner and currently winning the ugliest sv can ever built for a tenner as well, all in all it looks like a cheap fix hopefully it should all come in at under £100 bargain

i'd like to stress the importance of getting kitted up properly even for a quick run to the shops thats the second biggish crash i've had pretty much on my doorstep both times i had full kit on and both times i would of been screwed big time without it

ride safe
paul
