Here is the generic warning, USE OIL DESIGNED FOR BIKES! Coombest bolded it, but it's worth making really clear. Also, Jonboy's point about not using semi-synth so early makes sense- I think there's directions in the manual for exactly what to use when. I got mine at 9000 miles so no advice there...
I just use whatever aftermarket filter has convinced me today it's best, the OEM filters, and Castrol GPS semi-synth 10W40 (not the most expensive, not the cheapest, and comes with a free hat per 4 litres) It's a lovely red colour ![]() K&N oil filters... I'm pretty sure they're not going to do the job any better than stock, but they look cool and they havea nut n the front to make them easier to fit... You're probably better to buy 2 Suzuki ones and change at eery oil change, than buy a K&N and change it as recommended, I reckon.
