Since it's been chucked about, modded a bit, generally abused and had lots of miles put on it, I doubt it will be worth anything after another 2.5 years of the same.
The SV will be with me till it basically falls apart, then I'll consider fixing it. All depends how badly I crash it, really ![]() |

I'll always keep my SV as it's such a versatile, fun bike. However, it seems a shame not to try all the other bikes out there. At the end of the day, it all comes down to money and for my budget the SV is ideal for me.

Originally bought as a step up from my gpz but have fallen in love with it...
will keep it until it no longer works... but the plan is to get a 2nd bike at some point |

When it dies I want an SV1000S but as engine wasn't specified I suppose this counts as keeping an SV? |

probably keep it till it falls apart and goes round the clock a couple of times but was not bought as the be-all-end-all of my biking, merely a cheap stepping stone to my first GSXR-750, the bike I've always wanted. Hopefully (seeing as I'm planning on biking for the next few decades) I'll pick up quite a few bikes thru the years

Its my car too, although I only commute a few miles from Battersea to West End for work, so 90% of my riding is in london traffic... The jerkiness and vibration put me off a bit and sometimes wish I had a naked, better and easier control in the traffic... But I do yearn for a 2004 gsxr 600 for the smoothness especially, but just not so sure how it is in traffic.? The sv has quite a sport riding position which i am totally used to and I dont know how much of a difference there is with the gsxr?? so would have to try one. All in all sv is the best all round package for what i can afford for now...j
