**** am I eh. Well sir, you want to ride one for 2 months, being one of the most boring bikes in a straight line ever, being out accelerated by a mate on his rs125 and generally finding it hard/dangerous to overtake above about 65 mph, then tell me you wouldnt do the same, bearing in mind I have the certificates, and they won't open the bike up to check if they are there.

Like that invalid insurance one....

Anyway overtakeing above 65mph? Highest national speed limit is 70, so I guess you shouldn't need to overtake above that anyway.

And they (dvla with the police) can open your bike up at the side of the road and check that it is in a roadworthy condition at a whim.

enough excitement for one day, off for my cup of tea and a read I think.

Technically yes, it is invalid, but the likelihood of being found out is extremely low, and I would gues that over half of the A2 licenced people are full power anyway.

Yes, they can, but again, the chances are very slim. And even if they did, the chances of them knowing what to look for are equally slim.

My other points stand, a member of the site has 3points because one there rear brake pad had crumbled, at the side a small piece had broken off. However it could still lock the wheel and would pass the MOT. 3 Pts, failure to maintain. They will know where to look if you do get stoped.

I seriously doubt they would take the throttle slides out to see if they have a whole in them, brake pads are fairly obvious things really.

OTOH if you gett pulled doing 90 they'd see you're on an A2 and a traffic cop would quite likely ask questions. But it's more likely that the insurers check the bike after a crash.

Anyhoo... If you want daring and unpredictable, some of the SV Ecosse Posse rode to St Andrew's today and had ice cream. Rock and roll! (I didn't, it looked a bit cold)

MATT...

It looks like the power of the moderator has been at this thread? However I am not one to preach over naughtiness but I have to say that your thinking is totally flawed and what you are doing is wrong.

The reasons that you cite for removing the restriction indicate both inexperience and a total disregard for regulations.

If your thinking were to be taken as acceptable then hey,why bother with a license or the wearing of a helmet?

Getting wound up due to being out stripped by an RS125 due to restriction? Come on please! Trying to over take at 65mph when you know the bike in it's restricted state is not up to it?

The law was different when I was younger,I could only have a 250 up to passing my test, I did not though spend my time running around on a Z1900. The basics are exactly the same.
