i love the looks on this bike, but i can't get along with it - the riding position is far too up front for me being a tallun, feels like i'm looking right over the front.. i can see it being a popular choice (competing against z750, yamaha fz6, hornet...)

if they kept the styling but adjusted the riding position to be more neutral, and stuck in a bored out version of the SV650 engine, then i'd buy three

I have seen this bike in the flesh for the first time and it looks very good. Good write ups too

At a nice price. Certainly take away sales from the other budget 600's.

Dunno where this leaves the SV and Bandit? Will take sales away from them too. Suzook maybe building too many bikes after the same market?

if they built one with a 700cc V4 then it'd be the ultimate

Suzuki have always made loads of bikes in this market. Bandit 6 and 6 S, GSXF600 and 750, GS500, DL650, and both SVs, and to a lesser extent the small GSXRs. With the GSXF600 finally being dropped (I think) it's actually preserving that balance.

I reckon that either the Bandit or the GSR600 wll be no more within a couple of years. The Bandit's an old dog anyway, it either needs reborn or put down tbh. I think they missed a trick, they should have made the GSR the new Bandit. But it depends if the GSR takes off or not.

Hopefully off a cliff, into a sea, with a very heavy anchor. Dreadful thing.

I think Suzuki may sue if you say the GSR is the new GSXF!!!!

a GSR1000 might be an interesting concept I could be tempted to go to a four cylinder if they gave it the extra beef

current uk list price is 5,199 for the 600 hope they announce a 1000

Good but not good enough.

Why do Japanese manufacturers persist in putting 600cc revvy IL4's in bikes.

IMO they are underpowered and a pain to ride (manic gear shifting etc.)

Much better to have the umph of a twin :P

Same price as the Hornet. Needs a few deals then...I would go for the Hornet.

Is the GSR on free finance or free servcing deals?

Obviously not..... Well not a fairly modern 600 that's for sure...
