However, the 57-year-old now says the attention of the British press has put him off. "There have been 20 journalists camped outside my house since yesterday," he said today. "I don't like this pressure. It may be part of another culture, but it's not part of mine.
Disgusting. What a shame. English scumbag media... unbelievable.

Not really that s***e yes we never did that well in the league this season, but midish table, league cup quarter final, FA cup semi final, and UEFA cup final in only our second season in Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not bad for a small town in Europe without the massive budgets of the bigger clubs and probably the best youth team at the moment!!

Scolari would have been a savage manager for England. Just like Sven was (is?).

I am saying this from an Irish point of view, ie, I am not exactly preying that england win everything in sight. But, Scolari would have done the job.

Are people not furious that he was taken away from you by scumbag Sun journos?

I think Scolari is a wise man dropping the England job.

He doesn't need the cash and I bet he doesn't need the hassle.

Odd that the critics kicked him because he was a foreigner. The fact the he could have done a good job was never considered.

I'd like big sam to get the job as I think he would be best! plus we would be able to keep McClaren and not disrupt our coaching staff and the youth coaches!
